Harvest 5 & 6, RVA Urban Farm


Up on the farm's Machu Picchu was a bush of poblanos of such plenty that I felt like Eve!

The okra are hairy & coming out and in it's place we're planting kimchi radishes. Even the fabulous tomatoes are almost done.

So conservation fact of the week: 70% of all USA fresh produce comes from California and surroundings and is served by the Colorado River that is failing to conserve its water across State lines so tales of drought in far off west coast places is a very real threat to our menu planning...

Perhaps Cristo will be the man to bridge the awareness-gap.
