Midday on a Saturday and the Randolf was all ours.... Sparkling blue water, relaxed life guards and a chance to go for some Michael Phelps-inspired Olympian progress. J actually did front crawl, aided by her life jacket - she had specialised in a form of unintentional backward motion that had been a little disconcerting to date. M swam some full widths and worked on floating and breath-holding feats.
The afternoon heat rose, our siesta movie of choice was Shark Tale and we ended the day in Bev's ice cream parlour with watermelon sorbet. Fairly blissful stuff.
